Excellent and Reasonably Priced Remote Switch, Great Devices for Home!

It allows me to turn off/on my bedroom lights without getting out of bed. Easy to install. Three buttons for control of three lights. Same button for on and off. Couldn’t find this at Home Depot, but Amazon had it at a great price. Thanks!

Great purchase if you don’t want to spend the money on home automation.
I purchased this to control 4 mood lighting lamps around my media center and two low light floor lamps in the great room. After setting it up, it works flawlessly. The plug in units have a solid feel to their construction, but the remote seems pretty flimsy. I’ll see how long it holds up.
Note that when you insert the battery in the remote, you need to put it in evenly and not the conventional way of pushing in the “+” end and then sliding in the “-” end.
The units will render the second of two inlets unusable for all if not most other plugs. I suppose you could get a surge protector and plug it in there if you needed the other wall outlet.
The way I got 4 lamps connected to one unit required a some accessories, two extension cords (I could have made it work with just one) and two small 1 to 3 plug add ons. By using these I was able to get all 4 plugs running into the remote unit. These are low voltage lamps, so I’m not worried about any overload.
Now I’m waiting for it to get dark so I can enjoy what I hope will be very cool lighting while I watch my large screen TV. If I don’t like it I’ll have to change the bulbs to a different wattage, but this item works great!
I actually came to the site to look up this product and see if the remote signal was IR or RF in order to try to program these into my Harmony Remote, but the item description does not say which it is.

Finally got battery inserted and so far it’s working fine…but the problem with a lot of these remotes is if they continue working satisfactorily. Will report later after more experience.

Some days severe arthritis can make it difficult to get up or down, or even to turn a switch on a lamp. I placed these sockets in key locations like for a lamp across the room from my favorite seating area; not only does it help me turn things on and off but I don’t have to get up to do so! Just plug in the item you want to control and you’re all set.

If you plug directly it into a wall socket the device takes up the space of both wall outlets but I discovered that you can use these with an outlet strip style surge protector and it works just fine.

I like that I can carry the remote in my purse and even turn on my interior lights *before* I open my front door. Mine did not come with the battery as was advertised/expected; Amazon customer service gave a partial credit to cover the cost of a battery – thanks Amazon!

Very Handy for Rooms with No Overhead Lights

Just press the button and all the foorlamps in the room come on. Also a positive is the batteries you put in the one-button remote seems to last a very long time, it’s been over a year and I have not had to replace the batteries yet. To make things easy I used a 3M command strip to affix the on-button remote to the wall and saved a lot of money compared to having the room wired for overhead lamp and light switches.

Purchased this instead of running the extension cord around the room. I have been using it for over 4 months and so far works great! One thing bothers me at the beginning was the size of the receiver. This thing is lot bigger than I thought. However, this looks lot nicer than running a wire around the room or walking across the dark room to turn on the light.

It works perfectly and allows me to turn this lamp on from a distance as well. The power bar is a little larger than I expected but seems well made and safe. The remote bar turns on and off easily and doesn’t take up much space. I would definitely recommend this product.

It works just fine for us to control table lamps when you enter from an area that has no wall switch. All you need is to have the lamp turned on and if the wall outlet is controled from a wall switch, be sure it is on. I would recommend this highly for wireless switching.

At install, the controller was finicky about where to point it to make it work. But a couple days later when I tried to get the lights on, I had to hold it a foot away from the outlet to make it work–sometimes. I bought a name brand one at the local hardware store for $2 more and it works perfectly from virtually anywhere in my house. This one is not well made and not reliable; I won’t be buying anything this brand again ever.

Many remotes I’ve tested take a couple second to activate, are tempermental or quit working after a few weeks. Both of the ones I bought worked IMMEDIATELY and without any delay. They’re attached to our treadmills and when people need air, they push the button and the fans come on. It’s GREAT. I’m not sure why some people are saying the fans turn off after a couple hours, we haven’t experienced that at all. The only thing I’d like different is if they came in black too.

After buying half a dozen different wireless remotes, this is the best one (and one of the cheapest) I’ve ever bought. Highly recommend.

I think this is one a better design than my first switch that lasted approximately three years. Had this new switch for three months and so far works like a charm. This is more than just a convenience. I use the wireless switch to turn on/off ceiling track lighting in my studio that does not have a switchable AC outlet. I really couldn’t be without it.

A Great Gift for a Parent/Grandparent

One of the units did not work out of the package until I slapped on the side of it a few times. The red light that indicates power would come on and then fade out. It is supposed to be on when it is plugged in. I was upset because I did not want to send all three of them back because of the one defective unit. Luckily after I slapped on the side of unit number 1 it started working and so far has not been a problem. That’s been at least a week now. Don’t think I will have a major issue with it again. The remote control did come with a battery although it was buried loosely in the packaging so be careful. Amazon assured me that I could have either a refund or replacement within 30 days so that is nice to know! Great for all 3 of my lamps which are a table lamp, a dining room swag light and a floor lamp. Remote control will work through the walls from my bedroom to turn them on or off if I want to. That is approximately 30 feet away through a couple walls. I would purchase again but pay no more than the $25.

They work really well and there is actually no set up. I wanted one outside to turn on Decorative lights and I was concerned it could be damaged or shorted in the rain. I mounted it inside a sealed plastic box and was still able to actuate it from over 40 ft away.

I highly recommend this product.

It can operate 3 three-pronged devices and works flawlessly. The remote is compact and unobtrusive. The remote receptacle switches are not. They are massive heavy white boxes that either hog an entire wall outlet or several outlets worth of space on a power strip. But you do get flexibility and connivence. We use ours for his and hers night stand lights–no more having to lean out of bed to turn off the lamp. Thought about the clapper ala’ “Roseanne”, but it got very poor reviews. Now, what to do with the third switch…. BTW, this would make a great gift for a parent/grandparent. Just bring some power strips and move the furniture to get to their wall outlets.

This product worked out of the box and required no setup whatsoever. The operating range is pretty wide and extends through walls. Also, they each consume just 0.75 watts. (For us, that comes out to about 75 cents a year each.)

The challenge you will probably face is how to fit these things into power strips that are already being used. These devices are BIG! It can be done, but it’s probably easiest to use them in conjunction with an extension cord, where the extension cord would plug into the power strip allowing the device to lay somewhere else.

Outlet Wireless Remote Wall Outlets, Awesome!

Now I can use my clicker to turn on lights all around my apartment. Love it! Easy to set up.

So easy to turn on and off anything plugged into them. Used them at Christmas and also all through the year in various places in my house.

The simply work, and they have worked flawlessly. The only issue is their size. They are annoyingly large. But I do my best to hide them from being visible. I really love this device, especially at this price point.

I just leave it on the coffee table…usually! A surprising annoyance that I never considered is that when you want to turn off your light, it’s actually more work to remember where the remote was last placed than it is to know where the light switch is. But it’s worth that small inconvenience.

Just think about signage on your wall up 10 feet from the floor that you can turn on with a remote! How cool is that? This DSI Outlet Wireless Remote Wall Outlets, 3 Outlets with 1 Remote is the easiest and the coolest product we’ve purchased in a long time.

Every apartment I’ve lived in has zero overhead lighting in the living room and bedrooms. Remote control outlets were the perfect solution. I just leave the switch on the lamp on all the time and control the power with the remote. No more feeling my way to the lamp. This would also be great for a hard to reach outlet that turned something like the christmas tree lights on.

Clicker works greats. Only downside is it is so bulky that you can only use it for one plug in the other plug will be blocked jus enough that it is useless. For the price it is perfect especially when you use it only a couple months out of the year.

With this remote and the three switches you can sit back and relax when you need to turn on or off a light. Ever forget to turn off a light in the kitchen after making a sandwich or snack? Even if you are already in another room and eating just click the button and its taken care of. Do yourself a favor though, don’t misplace the remote:)

This is an excellent product and works very well. While other reviewers are complaining that the battery is not provided and the button is hard to press, I have found the battery provided in the box and the button to be very responsive. The range is amazing and I never had hard time to turn on/off any light remotely. I also like that the local outlet units have their own on/off switch so I don’t have to run around the house to find the remote to turn on/off my light. The only gripe is the size, it is huge and when plugged in to the wall, it blocks the access to the other outlet as well. So maybe the manufacture could make it more compact.

some information about remote outlet

Now instead of having to wander round the room turning lights on I just flick the room switch and every lamp comes on together. No setup hassles, just press a switch on this device then hold the light switch for 10 seconds and the two are linked together.

The remote control feels cheaply made and the buttons seem fragile.
There’s no keyring or hole on the remote control like there is on the Clapper remote control so I can’t “hang” it on my night-table. Worked-around it with tie-wrap but velcro would probably work, too.
The battery isn’t AA, AAA, or standard 9V. It’s 23A, 12W.

The remote wall switch solved a big problem in my bedroom where the hot plug is on the opposite tiny wall with no room for a light, but the product could not be more cheaply manufactured. They included two plastic screws to secure the faceplate on to the switch backing. I hand screwed the plastic screws in, and both of the screw heads snapped off. This left the base of the screws inside the backing

If you press the button quickly, the light on the remote will light up, but nothing happens on the receiver side (most likely either remote is not sending the signal or the signal is not sent for a long enough duration for the receiver to pick it up). However, if you press and hold the button for a short period of time, it seems to work flawlessly. I’ve tried it through walls, outside from a reasonable distance, etc

To combat the harsh ceiling fixture lighting in my place, I bought some floor lamps that would reflect light up toward the ceiling instead of the light coming down. The lamps’ switches are toward the top of the lamps; I can stand from my wheelchair to operate the switches, but with my lack of balance it wasn’t safe turning them on and off. Searching for a solution, I came across these and they looked like they’d do the trick. And they do.

I opened it up, got it all set up, pushed the button, and just like magic my lights turned on. Quite satisfied with my purchase, I pushed the button again… nothing. Lights stayed on. The product never worked again. I tried everything I could think of – I moved the switch around, I wiggled the batteries.
