Great for Normal Electonics

The only improvement I would like is to have more options for time. 30 minutes, 3 hours or 6 hours (I think) are a little narrow. I want to use it for 1 hour in a couple of applications. Maybe in the future. Did I mention simple?

I use it for the microwave, so the clock is not always on. Also the coffee pot and a hot water pot that has no way to turn it off except for unplugging it. Two fit nicely in one receptacle. I like that the switch glows green when power is on.

They produce quality products that last throughout the years. This particular device is also high quality and is very useful. It comes in 6hr, 3hr, and 30min settings. I use it for my room mobile heater and hard drive duplicator. Works great!

My primary use is to prevent over charging of phone batteries. Its a lot cheaper than buying new phone baateries!

I believe in full cycling batteries, regardless of claims that this is unnecessary. This product is perfect as a timer for charging for the period of time specified. I do use it in conjunction with a surge suppressor as we have a problem with power surges. I am very pleased with the product. It is exactly as described.

I am surprised that my computer with a 600 Watt supply and with four hard drives and three extra cards plus four USB drives only uses 300W or so continuous but that adds up to over $200 a year. I cannot wait to test our 35+ year old 25 cuft refrigerator and my 65 inch rear projection screen with router, cable box, HTPC, PopcornHour and DVR stacked on top. It will be eye opening. I have no idea how accurate it may be but it is good relative.information anyway. I think I will test a couple of “known” items and see.

Has 3 different length of time to charge settings. I like having to manually activate it after plugging your device into it. Keeps from overcharging your devices if that is what you are using it. Will definately buy more plus the price was right!

After we are finished flying, he plugs in a device that heats and dries the engine block to prevent moisture from corroding the battery and other engine parts. This is perfect because is turns off after a couple hrs. PERFECT!!!

I ended up buying two of them (and probably will get more soon) to just provide a simple light switch. One to my DIY under cabinet lighting, and another to control a hanging China Ball Lantern that had the switch at the socket. It works exactly how you would want it to and fits in the outlet nicely (not protruding out to the side too much). You can feel that it’s built well just by holding it, and I can tell it will last me for a long time.

Adds Convenience to My Life!

We tested it on Friday and it worked from about 20-25 feet away in the room. Perfect applcation for this device.

Works great. The only thing strange about the device is the design didn’t allow my 3 prong plug to fully seat in receptacle. The molded rubber end of unit didn’t allow enough room. Easily solved with an exacto knife cutting away a 1/4″ or so of material that did not effect integrity of unit.

It’s great. Very well made & not flimsy like the others and a really good feature is that the plug is on a short cable so you don’t have a hassle trying to plug it into a strip or outlet. I really wish I could get a few more of the key chain transmitters…that’s what I’m looking for.

So glad I found this because although the others I had (Handy Switch) worked pretty good for a while, I had to throw them away because of the recall/fire hazard thing. Now if only I can find extra transmitters…..

UPDATE……..The remote went through a hot water wash (accidentally left it in my pocket) Let it dry out over night, put in a new battery..AND IT STILL WORKS!!!

In order to keep energy costs down I generally only keep on a light that I need at that time, often for reading. The rest of the house is dark at night. I’ve got a couple of places where the lamp is behind a large chair, making them difficult to turn on and off, and of course they are on the far side of the rooms. If I want to see where I’m walking ‘d have to cross the room to turn on a light elsewhere before coming back to turn one of these off and either climb on or move around the chair to get to the switch.

I received a similar product for Christmas and was instantly in love. That one plugged directly into the outlet. This one has a short cord that plugs into the outlet which allows you to mount the device on a wall close to the outlet. Mine is actually plugged into a multi-outlet strip which works out fine. I’ve got the remote dangling from a light switch which has to be on all the time for something else. No more navigating across a dark room.

My only complaint is how difficult it was to open and close the battery cover due to the position of the ring that attaches the keychain to the remote.

I have used one of these switches for my family room light for several years, and it has worked wonderfully. I decided to buy two more for my bedroom and my son’s bedroom. One room is upstairs and one is downstairs. The good news is, the remotes have a long range. The bad news, both remotes are on the same frequency. What a surprise in the middle of the night when my bedroom light came on because my son had turned his light on! We swapped the family room remote switch with my son’s and everything is fine. Alas, I wanted another outlet switch for another room, but can’t seem to find ones with multiple frequency options.

We kept the remote near the tree and it worked as advertised. I will note you can’t get very far from the source or the remote tends to not work. I will say our plug is located behind our large screen television, so we don’t have line-of-site (that may make a difference in the distance it works from).

Loved These for Controlling Christmas Lights!

I had the tree, mantel swags and stairway garlands all hooked up it. For years I have used outlet timers but they can be hard to sync and can be noisy. This also gives you the power to turn them on or off whenever not just at specific set times. The only downside is the bulkiness of the plug in unit. But they are well worth it!

Remote does not have to be line of sight to work!!!!! Able to control recepticle in garage from anywhere in the house. Well worth the investment.

I hate fluorescent lighting and so I only use lamps. I have the remote on the back of my door. I don’t have to turn on all 5 lamps individually every morning. And when I step out of the office for lunch, I can easily flip them off to save energy. They work awesome. Every time. I would buy more sets for every room of my house if I didn’t have light switches. And even then… Christmas lights will never be the same.

Highly Recommended!! Bought the cheaper 3 unit set and #2 would not shut off. It would turn it on, but that defeats the purpose of “Wireless Remote”. My point is, spend a few more dollars for a much better Quality Product as these Are!!

We have all 5 of our bedrooms set up this way with their own set of remote controlled socket sets. Having the ability to choose just how much light you want is also fantastic.

I use the two remotes to switch on my dust vacuum when I am using my table saw and router. It’s durable and it works. One suggestion is that the vendor include a third remote for a slightly increased cost.

I almost feel guilty about being lazy and just pressing the button to turn it on/off from the delicious comfort of being under the covers…. almost.

Product works fantastically, had it for about 8 weeks, and no issue so far. It is a bit bulkier than other similar products I’ve had before, but that’s not really a dealbreaker. Battery’s included, which is always a good thing.

I use them to turn on my shop dust collection system. It sure is easier than rewiring a remote switch system. And they can be moved to accommodate various work stations. The plug base requires NO Battery. That confused ma at first. Highly recommended. Will buy more

Does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I bought 2 remotes and one outlet. The outlet is in a closet outside the house, and I use one remote control from the 1st floor and the other from the 2nd floor. No issue. It works perfectly all the time.

Better Than Previous Remotes

Usually, my techie gadgets get an eye roll from my spouse, but this one has gotten me a two thumbs up! She loves to be able to turn all of the accents off at night without going to each one and switching them.

Good for use with only one appliance but if you want to use it to work additional appliances you should order the 3 or 5 pack ones. Works as described. Attached the remote to the wall over the light switch. Works great and everyone says they like the ambience in my office.

I don’t understand the logic to have 1 unit switched by a button on top of the other and the other 2 side by side (see remote). This is fixed with the 5 units version.

Knocked off one star for the on/off lettering starting to come off within 3 weeks and despite the new “smaller” shape only the smallest of plugs will fit in the socket below, because the round bottom shape partially blocks the outlet below. Someone was more interested in appearance than function. Would buy again but suggest the issue a re rectified.

Only issue I have with it is the size of each outlet switch. It blocks off half the type of adapters you can use for the other outlet. It works even if you control the units from the other room!

Only issue I found is the size, they still make this prodcuts very bulky! I dont care but I could be a 5stars if the size was more on the small size.

I use them for all of my christmas lights, garlands, etc around the house that are plugged in. Works great, no complaints. Responsive. Exactly what I was looking for. (suggest getting as many plugs as possible, you’ll end up using more than you think!)

However, it is simple and works well. You have the wall-piece that plugs in. It has a light on it indicating that it has power and a button to turn it on and off manually right on the socket. The remote also turns the socket on and off (which is the whole purpose behind it). There is an on/off light on the socket that indicates its status. There is an audible “click” when it is turned on or off. The battery included is a nice touch as many items these days don’t include batteries making it a pain for the first-time setup. As a basic, functional item with a decent price it is pretty good.

We moved into a house that was built with no overhead lighting. We’re out in the woods, so when it gets dark – it’s really dark! These have been a godsend to us. I have a few of these and I also have the other style that has 3 separate plug units with one remote. Perfect for my living room (3 lamps). the remote sits on a small end table just inside the room. We used to trip and fall trying to get to lights, etc. not anymore!

We also use this for Indoor holiday lighting. I have my tree & foyer displays set up on one remote. perfect.

Bonus: For people who wake up during the night (hot flashes, night sweats, etc.), try putting a fan in your room and use one of these… if you wake up, push the button and blast air on you for a minute or two, then push the off switch – without ever getting out of bed! You can go right back to sleep! Wonderful product!

Very Handy to Use with Power Switches That Are Inconveniently Placed

I tried a G/E model of wireless light switch that I found at Target prior to getting this. That one would turn on/off at random from what I can only assume was radio frequencies either coming from other apartments or from garage door openers near me. The “rotating security code” claim was nothing but a lie.

However, I have had ZERO issues with the model. It works every time I press the button, never turns on/off from outside interference, and has performed flawlessly. I only knock it down one star due to there being a different image on the product page than what I bought. For reference, mine looks like the one that has a squarish shaped outlet with 2 buttons on it and a boxy remote control with only one button. If they were more coherent in their product info I would absolutely give it 5 stars.

Super easy to use. The remote signal works through walls and at angels. I love it and am relly glad i bought this. The switch is hard to reach, so it seemed perfect. It works well, but occasionally loses connectivity to the power under the sink and has to be switched on and off. The remote control is sturdy and not cheap or flimsy. It’s worth every penny and I would buy it again and again.

I wish the unit had a plug in the side instead of the front; if you have this behind furniture with a standard plug, the piece sticks pretty far out from the wall. The depth of the head is 1.5″, so a low profile extension cord solves that issue. Overall we’re very satisfied!

You know how you wake up at night and just need a cool blast of air? Well, in the old days (last week), you had to sit up, fumble for the fan knob (they keep moving it!), turn it on, lie back down, get cool, get cold, get freezing, sit up, fumble, turn it off, lie back down, rinse, repeat, right? With this, you put the little remote (about the size of a pack of gum) under the pillow or on the nightstand and a light touch brings blessed coolth. Another tap makes it go away again. It also works for whatever other electric-y things that can be plugged in. I had a plan to surreptitiously put this on my neighbor’s living room lamp (very close proximity) and randomly turn the lights on and off. But no, wiser heads prevailed.

Great Idea for Christmas

You take them out of the package, put the battery in the remote and connect one or both of the wall sockets. One independent button to turn each one on, and one separate button to turn each one off. Has helped me a lot with a raspberry pi that required to be disconnected and connected back to switch on. Served its purpose as it was expected. Haven’t prove the range but in the same room, it works like a charm.
