One Word to Describe These, Amazing

As many people may be unaware of most of the electronics in your home actually drain energy even when turned off, just being plugged in they drain electricity. A couple of months ago I decided to get into the habit of unplugging everything to help save energy but it grew troublesome for some electronics because the plugs were under desks or behind objects. I even said to myself I wish they’d invent a way so I could do this with a remote and voila! They already had!

This works perfectly, with just one remote I can cut the power to 3 electrical outlets. I have a device that measures how many watts devices use and this cuts power 100% so those electronics are no longer draining power and these devices themselves use up so little power it doesn’t even register on my device.

Buy these and use them to save money, help lower our dependence on oil and help save the enviornment, how can you possibly lose?!

You get three wall units and the remote control and they are very easy to set up. Basically, plug the units into your outlets, plug your lights or small appliances into the units and turn them on. The wall units are each numbered and correspond to the numbered buttons on the remote. You can also turn the units on/off manually. One thing that did surprise me was the size of the wall units – they are approximately 5″ x 2 6/8″ x 2 3/4″ – and they don’t leave much room to enable you to plug something else into the bottom of the wall outlet. You might want to take that into consideration before you buy this product.

As a music educator in LAUSD, the behavior of my students is abhorrent. Most of these students are at a 1st grade level (musically), and teaching a piano class with 50+ beginning students was destroying my sanity. Anytime that I attempt direct instruction, they will not stop playing. I connected about 18 keyboards to each DSI Outlet two weeks ago, and I have not looked back. I am on the ultimate power-trip at the moment, and I don’t think I will ever come back. Silence…sweet silence.

I use it to turn on/off my bar lights and neon signs. One small concern; if u are running the microwave, the switch may not work – until your dinner is done! With a light plugged into each outlet, she is able to effortlessly control the illumination. It works from anywhere in her apartment, even when she’s in the next room!

Reliable, Long Battery Live, and Versatile

I have used them nearly every day since without any problems. They do, however, have a couple of flaws. Mainly the units are huge and will dominate any wall outlet. I usually use them with a 6in extension cable and don’t have any real problems. Also the remote takes a truly oddball battery, but I haven’t had to replace it yet so I can’t complain too much. I would buy this again.

I had seen a similar product advertised as a great solution for a Christmas tree; it allows you to turn the tree lights on without battling to get to the outlet. Well… you can use one remote with 3 different outlets, so we now have 3 separate light fixtures on this little remote. Each one is in a different part of the den and two in particular are difficult to reach. Now we turn on/off whichever light, or two or all three, effortlessly. We want more!! My husband now wants one for his office!

For a fraction of what rewiring those outlets would have cost I use a single remote from my porch to control everything. Dependable, economical, with a great range, the 3 Outlet Super Switch by DSI was the best choice for me.

If you press the button quickly, the light on the remote will light up, but nothing happens on the receiver side (most likely either remote is not sending the signal or the signal is not sent for a long enough duration for the receiver to pick it up). However, if you press and hold the button for a short period of time, it seems to work flawlessly. I’ve tried it through walls, outside from a reasonable distance, etc and so long as I pressed the button for longer than just tapping (e.g. press for a half second or so) I had no issues.

I have a lighted curio cabinet with the switch inside the cabinet. To use the light, I had to sqeeze around the furniture, open the glass door, find the switch (without knocking over anything inside), close the door (without breaking the glass) and squeeze back. It was such a hassle that I never bothered to use it. Now I just click a button on the neat, compact remote. I also had the same proplem with my Christmas Tree lights. This year, I look forward to NOT shimmying under the tree on my stomach every time I want to light the tree.

I recommend keeping the remote in the same place all the time – you’ll never want to turn anything on/off the regular way again!

I plugged my christmas houses into an extension cord and then plugged the extension cord into on of the outlets so that all house work on one switch. It is awesome!

Best Beal Ever

Unit said used refurbished. But when I got it there was not a scratch or Ding it was perfect. It was shipped super fast it works perfect I love it I might even buy another one. When I say one I mean the total product. It came with three outlets switches and one remote it’s a beautiful product I just can’t tell you buy it if you can.

I use these devices to “unplug” my home theater projector when it is not in use. I can go one to two weeks without watching my home theater projector, and because the retro-fit installed electrical outlet is on the ceiling, I wanted a method to completely disconnect the projector from the house current for surge protection. While I have a surge protector between this outlet and the projector, there is no better surge protection than unplugging the electronic device entirely- which this does! When there are lightening storms and I am at work or away on a weekend, I don’t have to worry if my projector is safe from a lightening strike with this. Do not hesitate to buy it.

Hurricane Sandy blew threw with some power surges, but my equipment (home theater projector, amplifier) was safe- safer than anything plugged into an outlet- thanks to these devices. I have read other reviews that their devices failed; my are working great. They are large and consume a single gang outlet giving you only one working outlet, but you can use a short multi-outlet extention cord if need be. The large size of this device is apparently the price paid for the confidence of not risking your equipment.

The remote is nice and compact, but the actual switches themselves are very bulky and can take up a lot of space. They sometimes end up covering up an extra outlets because of how bulky they are, and on power strips they can even take up three outlets all together.

Now they don’t have to stumble in the dark to walk across the living room to turn on a lamp, they just reach for the remote thats place near the entrance when they first walk in. These were a pleasant surprise item from Eforcity. I wouldn’t plug in large appliances(A/C) with this as they are meant for lamps and such. Another good use was xmas lights inside the apt.

It works exactly the way I need it to, and there hasn’t been any part of it that has made me regret buying it. I’ve had it for over a year now, and I haven’t even had to change the battery in the remote yet, and I use this thing every day over and over again. Now if you are trying to get something professional, than this probably isn’t the way to go. I use it in my bedroom. Only for the reason that the remote is made of cheap plastic, but the plastic is sturdy, and while your using it, you don’t notice anything about it feeling cheap. Overall, this is a great product, I would buy it 100 times, and it just makes life easier.

ch of the units for the lamps in her room allowing her to push a button on the remote to turn lights on and off. The product works great, just plug it in and go. She has been using it for a few months now and it is still working great. My mother-in-law thinks it’s great.

It’s as Great as Everyone Says

No more turning on a light to find the light you really want to use , and they work great. i have one to light my cd’s , one for a dim mood light and one for reading light , saves a lot of time walking around a room.

Use on my Christmas tree each year also. Don’t have to grope around among the presents and needles to find the switch. Bought one for my Mom also because her hands are no longer strong enough to turn the switch on her lamps. She can push the button now to turn on her lights.

I’m on disability and have a hard time getting out of bed, so I set up a bright light on one unit, a floor fan and my oxygen concentrator (which is in a different room due to it being noisy).

By being able to turn the oxygen unit off in the morning (which I usually forgot to do), this remote has saved me quite a bit of money.. actually paying for itself by next month.

No problems with the remote or frequency interference as others have mentioned.. Happy camper here.

It’s the first of several similar devices I’ve bought that actually works as advertised, and very well at that. If there were a six-star rating this one would get it. I just bought another I’m going to use to control my outside Christmas lights nest year. I will probably order a couple to give as gifts to my friends who ‘have everything’.

Others said that you have to be right next to it, but I am not seeing what they see. I have had zero problems with them. The only issue that I have with the items is that they are the size of a coke can. Check the images above as I added some. Oh and the battery in the remote is a very strange size. I wish they opted for AAA, but its some funky sized one. All in all, a good deal if you have the outlet space to use it.

I am disabled from a stroke suffered 3 years ago and although I can get around, my movements are very slow. I have a light I keep by my bed, but it is difficult to reach it when I need to get up during the night. I was thinking about getting a light to attach to my bed, but when I saw this product, it seemed to fit the need. It was very easy to install and has worked so well. I keep it on the bed beside me, so there is no having to get up and reach for the light. Such a comfort!

She is a little slow and unsteady moving around. I used each of the units for the lamps in her room allowing her to push a button on the remote to turn lights on and off. The product works great, just plug it in and go. She has been using it for a few months now and it is still working great. My mother-in-law thinks it’s great.

Awesome DSI Outlet Wireless Remote!

FYI, if they are unpowered the default is for them to shut off when you restore power to the plug, so you have to use the remote to get the lights, etc, working. I use them to individually control lights that otherwise would all go on at the same time, but I shut the power to the outlets off when not in use.

I am very happy with my purchase. Wife was not convinced but she now appreciates not have to manoeuvre behind the furniture to turn on /off the light. I told her we needed this gadget – I was right ! (for a change!)

Then I decided to buy this one. I’m glad I did. This one is built more sturdy and so easy to use. I can be quite a distance away from the light source and it goes on right away when I click my remote control. I am very, very pleased with this set. I’m going to order the 5 pack right after I’m done with this review.

Now, we can turn both on and off with the simple click of a button on a remote. The third outlet is used for our TV set up, because it saves energy to cut all of those electronics off while not in use. The buttons turn on the outlets with no delay; we even tricked a few friends and family by making it seem like it was voice controlled with the remote in our pockets.

They nearly block out the other plug in the outlet. Kind of inconvenient. But, they function nicely. I have 3 different lamps plugged into these units, and I can use the single remote to turn them off or on. Kind of neat! The remote is nice and small, but those wall units are ridiculously huge. I’ve had a remote-switch set before that wasn’t nearly as cumbersome as these are. But, it does work just fine.

I was in need of a light switch, since my apartment is not equipped with ceiling lights, much less wall-mounted light switches. I needed to be able to turn on lights without having to cross a darkened room tripping over furniture. The DSI Outlet’s remote activated outlets came in super handy. Especially since I can plug a power strip into the outlet and be able to switch off several things at once. Also it gives me the ability to be able to remotely activate lights in other rooms as I move from one to the other; very useful when shutting things down for the evening.

So I bought it. After it arrived, I admired it’s appearance, it looked sturdy and carried through the U safety grounding principle. So I put it to work. It did not false trigger, but reliably turned remote items on and off just as I had desired. I then congratulated myself on just having one of the best purchases of my life. house and just loves it. Now if she could only control me….

Amazing for the Elderly or Kids

Of course they loved them. No one had ever seen them before and as I gave the gifts and each person mentioned different uses for them. The bedroom lights. The christmas lights. These did come with the battery for the remote.

She was unable to turn on floor lamp and radio. We plugges her radio and lamp into these guys and it works amazing. You don’t even have to point the remote in the dirction of the outlet. Works anywhere from within her studio apartment. The down side is that you can’t plug anything into the second outlet because this device plugs into one plug and covers up part of the second. I put a little sticky note on the bottom of the remote to indcate what each button would turn on.

This product is the REAL DEAL! Note, some like these come in bigger packs (like w/ 2 remotes, or with 5 wall units controlled by 1 remote instead of 3 units… so you might want to try this brand in a bigger money saving pack for if it suits your needs better.

With these outlets, as soon as I walk into the apartment I can use the remote to turn on a light and it is so far working quite well.

I rated it 4 stars mainly because the outlets are very bulky and if plugging directly into a wall outlet, it will take up enough space to block the other outlet. Also, I received one defective outlet; the remote didn’t work unless I held it less than an inch away from the outlet. Luckily I only needed two outlets for my apartment.

Have specific appliances I like to be able to control remotely at night. Works well with appliances even when they are in a room 40 feet away between doors and walls. The battery is not a standard 2A or 3A so when that runs out I won’t have another battery lying around to replace it. Other than the battery, it was a good buy. Amazon delivers again. They get my order right and it arrives when they promise.

The wall switch activates one outlet but that wasn’t enough to light my tiny dark room. These are GREAT bc I can have three separate lamps in my room and turn them on individually. Love love love this product!

lights to this. This year I bought her 2 more. I color coded each set because each set works on its own frequency. Now she’s controlling things all over the house and just loves it. Now if she could only control me….
