Works As Advertised And Suits My Needs PERFECT!

It has good spacing for AC adapters. It makes really good surge protectors. The remote is wall mountable so it can be used to solve lack of wiring in a room. You can use multiple surge protectors with the same remote or use many in the same area because you can set different channels.

I wish there were more constant on outlets. It should have done 4 always on and 4 remote switched, but maybe that’s just me. The remote control is great but the button can stick sometimes and doesn’t click all the time like you would expect it to. I bought two of these and one switch is better than the other. I should probably contact it but it works so whatever.

Overall I really like these and the remote makes it really handy. It worked for me but might not work for everyone.

All the little bright lights for the audio/video products I own have such BRIGHT standby lights to let you know they are off it just does not make sense!?? So, with a flick of a switch at night those bright Led’s diminish! :) I like a dark room environment so it solved my problems and will probably buy another if and when they ever go on sale.. It has some outlets that still stay on for the equipment that you need left on for some juice still. VERY “nifty” idea…. Problem solved! And I cannot thank Amazon.com for being my number one source for almost all of my online shopping cause they are VERY easy to contact if you can understand some broken English from time to time but every time I have EVER had a problem arrive it has been promptly resolved or if it was not through their chat system they will call you back and that person has a little bit more room to bend on things I think…? Anyways, good product and a good seller!

Another very nice feature is the child safety covers over each switch, you can slide each one thats not in use so the holes are covered to prevent accidents. The strip itself is nice and flat and feels very well built. The main unit also has a built in cable management system that can route wires when things are plugged into the strip. There is a warning light on the strip that tells you if your main wall outlet that the strip itself is plugged into is grounded or not. I like how well the outlets are spaced out and are side by side to provide more room for bigger power bricks.

To use the strip you plug your devices that dont need constand power into the remote switched outlets(6 side by side total) and devices that always need to be powered on into the 2 always on outlets. Once everything is plugged into its respective outlet you use the included wireless remote to turn off the “green” switched outlets, thus saving you lots of electricity. When a pc needs to be powered up just flip the remote to on and the whole strip powers up. I think the price on amazon is excellent and its worth every penny but check around I have bought mine in store for half the asking price online.

Very Handy For Remote On-off of Things On Power Strip

Works great. I did the math and it saves about 3-4 dollars per item a year if it is just turned off at night. It will take a few years to pay for itself but worth it to me. The remote only works about 10-15 feet away.

Bought 5, then realized I needed 6, then realized I needed 7, then 8… then bought two as gifts. No problems with stuck rocker switch whatsoever. Remote control comes in a cover with double-sided tape on the back; or you can remove it. You can obviously use one switch with as many units as you’d like, or split them up on up to 8 channels if the neighbors aren’t also using these. I’ve only had the occasional issue with “oops one power strip didn’t get the off/on signal”, in which case you just hold down the switch a bit longer. No dead units so far.

The surge protection for cable modems only comes with the 10-outlet model.

All the cords plug into this on a shelf under the built-in desk and we use the remote to turn things on and off. Has been working well for these several years.

So this fall when I got out our fancy low-voltage electric mattress pad, I realized we needed a second one of these. Being low voltage and queen size, the mattress pad has two brick size transformers, one for each side of the bed, separate from the controls. Even when the mattress pad is off, these things make a high-pitched buzzing noise. And we only have the mattress pad turned on to warm the bed up before we get in.

This product works great for this–the power strip sits on the floor under the bed, along with the transformers. The two transformers plug into outlets that are operated by the remote. Our alarm clock and bedside lamp plug into the two outlets on the power strip that are always “on” regardless of the remote. Now, we just have to click on the remote which is on the bedside table and turn on the mattress pad an hour before bedtime, then click off the remote to shut the mattress pad and the transformer noise off at bedtime.

*TIP* : if you are buying more than one of these, or buying your second one, you definitely need to change the sync switches to a new code so your remote operates the strip you intend to operate. I found that our remote in the home office does turn on and off the new power strip in the bedroom and vice versa, even though there is a wall and 15ft in between them. Once I changed the sync switches to a new code, problem solved. And it is easier to make this change initially, before you start plugging everything in.

Great Energy Saving Surge Protector

This unit also has a remote control that I love. I have the items that I do not use all the time when I watch TV connected to the plugs that are controlled by the remote, so they are not powered up until I need them. The TV and U-verse box are plugged into the two receptacles that have power to them all the time, but all eight are protected.

In addition I have a networked file server in the same location that I didn’t want to shut down, so the power center was perfect for my needs!

Slim flat design makes it fit easily under things like cabinet or shelves. Widely spaced sockets accommodate brick style power supplies for devices like modems & routers. Clearly marked and laid out design allows easy set up and use.

I have a desktop setup in a room different from where my networking devices are housed, so I wanted to be able to shut down my internet/router if there was ever a need to (i.e. connection or system outage) without having to go to another room and then unplug each device and then reconnect them. I attached the remote switch to the desk in an out of the way location so it wouldn’t be mistakenly switched. It’s about 30 feet from the power strip and I’ve had it over 2 years, and it works perfectly. Granted I don’t switch things off an on with it constantly, just whenever it’s needed. So that maybe why I haven’t had any problems with the remote switch like others have had. I can highly recommend this for any kind of remote power switching for all kind of uses and would purchase another with out hesitation as the experience I’ve had so far has been great!

Which can be a pain if it is buried behind your desk and not easy to reach. But it works as expected and I figure it will pay for itself pretty quickly now that I am eliminating vampire power from a lot of computers and electronics.

The power strip was delivered on time in Amazon’s hassle-free packaging. The battery in the remote unit was dead so I had to replace it. The battery is commonly found in Staples, Office Depot, Radio Shack, etc. for $2-3.

The power strip itself seems to be well made. The build quality of the remote however could be better. The mechanism inside the remote provides for a cheap “click” feel. The remote does have an LED that is illuminated when it’s sending a signal to the power strip which is a nice.

Overall the remote and power strip works as advertised. I bought this item because I have a room which does not have a switch-controlled outlet. This power strip allows me to turn on and off a floor lamp when I enter/exit the room.

Really Cool Innovation, Saving $$$$$$

I was easily able to bring my electric bill down $50 with Belkin power strips. Personally I use this at an entertainment center so that with a flick of a switch TV/DVD/Game systems everything is off when I’m done using them though the cable box can stay on for recording. Although its bigger than I had imagined that’s only because there’s more plugs than an average power strip as well as more space between them so you can have AC Adapters plugged in as well.

I got this so I can control some of the light far far away at the other end of the room. So I dont have to get out of my bed and walk all the way to the end to trun off my lights in a freezing winter night.

Either way great product, high quality, would buy again. I use it on my fish tank to turn the pumps on and off for water changes but keep other devices on all the time.

Once I got all the plugs arranged where they were supposed to be, this turned everything off with just one click! Just great. Only thing, the remote needs to have clear ‘view’ of the main unit to have it read the ‘off/on’ signal. Not taking away any stars for this as it’s not an inconvenience at all. Just have to aim ‘high’ & directly at the receptacle. Highly recommend this product.

I purchased an AICO Michael Amini older style entertainment center for $250..I know, right???!!! It only came with the two tall tower sides, lighted bridge top, and shelf. It was purchased originally without the tv stand so I had to purchase that myself to accomodate our tv.

The older style AICO entertainment center side towers were made with wood shelves and no built in lighting so they are really dark. In addition, the doors have a tinted glass making them even darker so the pic frames etc you put inside don’t even show up.

So I went and purchased these buffet torchiere lamps, one for each side, and put one on the top shelf but I had an issue with being able to turn them on at the same time without having to reach for the thumb switches that are now hanging behind the entertainment center. I wanted to tie them in with the lighted bridge that had also had an inconventient switch that I had to struggle each time to reach (it is located on the bridge but it is 6 ft high).

I searched for switch that I could touch where all three could be connected together..and I found this here on Amazon for around $30 shipped. I was worried because it really seemed to great to be true but lo and behold it was PERFECT. All I have to do is turn on the lights by touching the switch (shown in picture) and it turns them on and off magically without a wire! YAY! All three are plugged into it and it works perfectly. Everyone who sees me turn on the lights in the ent. ctr. ask what it is and where I got it! I HIGHLY recommend!!!

Should Have Had One Earlier

I’ve plugged my laptop, monitor, printer, and other things into the remote control side and the wireless router, modem, and other more “permanent” things in the non-remote side. This product works great although I have two very minor gripes:

First, the cable holder is a nice touch to have at the base of the unit. However, it is not wide or deep enough to hold all the cables you may require. It’ll work for a couple but certainly not all that the unit can hold.

Second, when the breaker flips on the unit itself, the remote control no longer functions for some reason. In my case, if the breaker were to flip, I have to crawl under my desk to reset it. If the remote control had it’s own reset feature then that’d be perfect.

The cover for it is difficult to remove if you need to replace the battery. You may end up accidentally flipping the switch off in the process.

Having the conserve switch is great. I can leave my laptop docked and or charging, but turn off my monitors, speakers and keyboard with the press of a button. This allows me to put my laptop into sleep mode without worrying about the battery slowly draining away, but also not supporting peripheral power to components I’m not using.

Now when I leave the office I hit the switch I stuck to the door jam, whenever I know I’m done for the night, weekend etc. When I come in I hit the switch and all the stuff is back up and running in no time. One less penny to give away to those Utility companies: I’ll take it! It’ll take a while to get it’s cost back probably, but I only got it for the satisfaction of not giving it (my moola) away for zip.

This power stip and remote control switch really make things a lot easier. The switch is modern looking and comes with adhesive on the back so that you can place it on the wall, inside a cabinet, etc. We’ve used this product in three rooms so far and it has worked flawlessly for us. One of the best things is the number of receptacles on the strip itself, including some that are not switched.

Of course, one is buying a multi-outlet surge protector, so the cost is higher than for just an outlet switch, but you can count on it to do the job, even from significant distance and with sight-line obstacles. I now have three units, set to different frequencies with the little switches on the units and the remotes. If I had another need for remote power control, I’d buy a fourth.

It make easy to turn off electronics that you don’t use in the moment without having the power switch at the sigth of everyone. You can connect the things one time, hidde the switch and basically forget that is there. The remote works great (don’t forget to configure the remote and the switch in the same frecuency). Just one detail, it is a big switch, it doesn’t looks like in the photos but is big, like other power switches with more plugs, but nothing that cannot be addapted. Great Quality, if by chance you get the extra discount (some times they drop the price by 15-20%) don’t doubt to buy it.

Decent Surge Protector

It is nice to have outlets you can shut off while leaving others live. I use this at my bedside. My side lamp and land-line phone are plugged into the two live outlets and the rest on my devices into the others. This way I can control the current to my electronic equipment and save some money. My only negative is that I find the remote to be very temperamental and therefore I don’t use it that much.

I am definitely going to splurge! I set this one up by my bed. I have my alarm clock on the always on outlet, my Bose SoundDock, lamp, and laptop charger on the switched outlets. I then stuck the remote on the wall by the door, but later moved it next to my bed so that when I’m in bed I don’t need to reach over to cut the power to my lamp, speaker dock, and laptop at night or to turn the power on in the morning. A word of caution however, the remote comes with a cradle, once you put it in the cradle, good luck getting it back out. If you want the remote to be mobile, don’t use the cradle. Also, the sticky backing on the cradle is INCREDIBLY sticky and will remove surface finishes such as paint and varnish. Stick something less strong to the wall then stick the cradle to that to protect your surfaces.

It is a good brand, and the concept of not crawling in those tight places to switch on and off the power strip to save and/or to use your electronics. My problem was that I got this huge tv stand and no way I was going to move it couple inches of space to turn on and off the power strip and this is great contraption. The remote helps me from squeezing through that tight space to turn on and off the power strip, and it have two sockets on the power strip that does not ever turn off even with the remote. So I can turn off for example my stereo, xbox, and what ever else and still have my tv on.

And after exactly one month, my energy bill arrived and it was a whole $10 less!!! So, now I’ve installed the Conserve Smart AV F7C007q Energy-Saving Power Strip (for the TV console–keeping the Tivo & router on but turning off the 2nd Tivo and Netflix box when the TV gets turned off); and also 2 of the the cute little Belkin Conserve Socket F7C009q Energy-Saving Outlet (one for my office shredder and my electric toothbrush). And now I’ve added the Stanley 31164 Indoor Wireless Remote Control with Single Transmitter, White, 3-Pack for the hot water pot that’s on 6 hours every day, my appliance strip which covers toaster, rice cooker, blender and Breville juice extractor–to my kitchen to stop vampire energy loss.

I’m on a roll and look forward each month to how much I’ll save with these 3 and 1 products together! If I can saving $20-25 per month…well that adds up to a LOT in one year!!! I can think of other, better things to spend my money on like here on Amazon–more Kindle books…and…I have a huge wishlist.
