Works GREAT!!! Time & Energy Saver!!!

I was able to go 40 feet away and close the door. I was still able to remotely turn the switches on and off repeatedly. I would recommend these remote switches highly.

I already own a 3 outlet setup from another company and the remote on this was better. I like the switch that most people complain about. Click for on and click for off without having to look for a specific on/off button.

What sets this apart is the use of a radio frequency instead of infrared. This makes it able to receive signals from a distance and through walls and windows. I’m able to turn on a porch light from 30 feet away and through a window without line of sight. Excellent!

Pros:

1. The 12v battery should last a long time. I have a similar remote with the same battery and that’s been going for 5 years with daily use. Harder to find but you won’t need to replace often.

2. Because it uses a radio signal, it can work from a long distance and without line of sight. Believe the manufacturer claims.

3. Receiving 5 outlets for $27 calculates to $5.40/outlet. That’s a great deal compared to other offerings.

4. Switch on outlet in case finding the remote is less convenient than just turning it off at the outlet.

Cons:

1. It is true that remote outlet boxes are big and interfere with the second outlet when plugged in. These large outlet boxes will allow a two prong to plug in below it, but a larger 3 prong would be difficult. You will have to buy a “power strip liberator” if you want to avoid this issue. They are basically 1′ extension cords that will take the box away from the outlet and allow for another plug. Another option is to buy a 3-2 prong adapter and use it on the wireless box. This will move the box far enough from the outlet face plate to allow that 3-prong to plug in below it.

2. Wish it was 1500 watt rated instead of 1200 watt. 1500 watts means you can plug in the heater, but with this, you need to watch out.

I wish they would just wire houses for this in the first place. Great for those floor lamps with out of the way switches and many other things. This is an excellent gift for elderly people at Christmas. They might look at like you gave them socks or a “clapper”, but once you demonstrate it, they will love it. My mom turns on her fountain lights in the garden from the kitchen (outdoor safe version).

Works Well for Remote Operation of a Shop Vac Dust Collector

We can turn on 10 separate Christmas window candles in just a few seconds and without the inconvenience of visiting each location to plug or un-plug each one.

Remotes work good, through walls and at a good distance. Very convenient. It does not cover both plugs but some plugs will be too big to work with this plugged into the outlet.

When I’m using the various tools, I always attach a vacuum hose to control the dust and shavings, if the tool is set up for it. The problem is that the shop vac and the tools are often some distance apart and it’s tempting not to bother with the vac if I’m only making a few cuts or sanding a small area. There are devices such as the iVac Automated Vacuum Switch that will control a shop vac automatically when a tool is activated. The downside of this solution is that it’s expensive and only works for 110v tools. I have a mix of 110v and 220v machinery, so this won’t work for me.

So far it is working just as I expected. Either of the 2 remotes will reliably start and stop the shop vac from anywhere in the shop. I’m happy that 2 remotes come with this because I can leave one at each end of the shop and I’m never far from one.

This thing is big. I have it plugged into a Tripp Lite PS2408 Power Strip 120V 5-15R 8 Outlet 15ft Cord Vertical Metal, and unfortunately there is no way to avoid having it cover 2 of the outlets. Fortunately, that still leaves me 6 more, which is enough. I dinged it one star due to the size.

This was a pain when getting into bed or coming up the stairs. These remote switches allow light control as you walk into a room or start up the stairs. When you get in bed, you simply click off all the lights.

That’s what I like, what I don’t like is how huge the plugs can cover the whole outlet if you can’t fit it in the top outlet because of the 6 inch height. Also, a great feature would be to have a swivel plug on the backs to help better fit into small spaces by tilting.

Convenient. Simple. Senior citizens can use this product to turn lamps and appliances on and off without leaving their chair (or bed). Buy it for each senior you know. Also wonderful for Christmas lights.

I work in an electronics lab and share a fume extractor with another. This unit allows us to switch the unit, which is located behind our test stand, on and off remotely and give us each the ability to do so. The remotes of this particular model use 9v batteries so no problem finding replacements. Works great so far.

The Work Great, But They Are Immense!

The only problem is the actual sockets are a little big and with old style wall sockets it becomes hard to use both when these are in. The remote is ok I guess, it isn’t 100% responsive all the time so you have to click the button a couple of times to get what you want done, but for the price it is great!

We use to have 4 or 5 individula remote controls to operate the Christmas lights on our tree, the hanging fiber optic decorations and other decorations around the house. We had to have a remote control for each one. Now we just have one remote and it controls all of them, We just make small taped labels to identify which operates which. They also worked great for our outside decorations on the house and porch without have to go outside to turn things on and off. They-re Great.

The price is excellent. I would right a more extensive review but there is no need to. If you want to control your refrigerator, lamp/lights you can easily do this with this remote control pack. Did I mention the price is great for this set of controllers.

My only complaint is the fact that the receiving units that plug in are so large. It would be nice if they were a bit smaller! You will need to really reorganise how the rest of your stuff is plugged in, because you will lose an outlet when you plug one of these units in…

This solved the problem quickly and for a great price. I haven’t found a use for all 5 of them yet, but 3 of them are working on various lights and air filtering units as well as the DC. Try it, you’ll like it !!

I’ve had them for months now and they are extremely reliable and and sturdy, the remote control signal has also been reliable and strong. The only drawback is their size. They are extremely large and bulky units and given the way the plug portion is designed they have to be plugged into the upper openings of outlets and sometimes will still block the lower opening for all but the smallest plugs of other devices. I would still buy again, as previous wireless units I’ve brought would not last very long and have some kind of malfunction. These have been bulletproof so far…

Too Big?… NO PROBLEM… They Work WELL

The remote comes with a battery, the buttons are reliable (meaning, they work the first time) and the range on the thing is good. I’m using this to turn on and off lamps throughout my home without having to walk to each one and turn the switch.

I USE THEM FOR ACCENT LIGHTHING in every room in my home. The Units come in different frequencies codes. I bought some where they were on the same 4-digit code, but it swapped them out for ones w/ different codes to not interfere with other units in my home.

I have CHAMBERLAIN REMOTE OUTLETS (2nd best, but at around $30 for a single outlet unit), LOWES Remote outlets, WOODS Remote Outlets, STANLEY Remote Outlets, AND ALL THE OTHERS (they are in a trash drawer in my garage, totaling more than $200)… THESE Are the only ones I use, because they WORK the SMOOTHEST (a real treat in my quest). YES, They are slightly Big.. BUT IF YOU WANT REMOTE ACCESS To An Outlet FOR CONVENIENCE, You can simply USE $2 ‘OUTLET ADAPTERS’ to expand what limited outlet space you have, so that the size of these is not a Problem. For example, one can buy ’3-OUTLET Extender ADAPTERS’ IN ALL SHAPES AND SIZES here on AMAZON, WALLY WORLD, HOME DEPOT, ECT.

Saw this – decided to try it. Rather than having one remote for each outlet, this has one remote for ALL outlets. Worked like a charm – so much so, that my sister-in-law saw it and had to have her own, so I ordered her one as well. Very handy to simply ‘click’ the remote and turn on/off any of the lights we have set up. Highly recommend for those difficult to reach items (like the Christmas tree!)

The remote is pretty big … and empty. I’m pretty sure they could have made it a little smaller.

It also uses an atypical battery so I can’t use my rechargeables and have to make sure I keep a spare on hand.

The wall units are also very BIG. They don’t fit well into power strips because they block most of the other outlets.

Since these are so big it is even worse that the plug is in the front of the unit making it stick out even further than if it were on the side like some other adapters.

If the price weren’t right I’d give these 2 stars since I had to buy some other stuff to make them fit (adapters and such). On the bright side they are not at all visible now!!

BTW, when you turn one of these on or off you can gear a fairly loud clicking sound especially in the open in a big room …

Effortless & Dependable

I’ve had trouble with other brands before but these are pre-programmed and work every time. Everything is labeled. Outlet plugs are a bit bulky but works great for all my light up Christmas decorations.

They simply work. I’m sure that maybe a few out there don’t, because some bad reviewers have noted some lemons. But, also look at the high reviews… they all worked for me, and I bought about $200 worth for different houses/ rooms. I added fluorescent under-cabinet lights all over my house… 4 underneath my bed, 3 behind each television, etc. These remote outlet switches allow me to have accent lighting galore.

it saves me so many steps, I can’t believe it. I bought it pretty much on a lark. But am I glad. I can control so many things from one spot. Lights in other rooms on at dusk, off at bedtime. Various Entertainment components easily controlled without moving to each of them. Considering more of these for my office.

I gave it only 4 stars because Wireless Controlled Electrical Switch Socket Outlet are huge! its as big as your regular outlet plate. I thought they were smaller than the others but I was mistaken. I consedered returning it but it works very well and a little inconvenience because its huge doesn’t matter to me. Lucky that we have a lot of outlet in our home that I didnt need any extension wire. The shipping was fast by the way.

I use them for my living room / home theatre system. I turn on and off the lights and sound system and these are just amazing for the price. Going with the two remotes is definitely nice because there is one at each end of the living room, plus, if one ever fails, I have a spare. So far, these have been a delight! My audio rack is in a different part of the house and in the past, remote controlling has been an issue because of distance but that’s history now. I highly recommend these. I don’t understand why some people complain the size in their reviews; there is a good picture that shows the product’s size. They are just built to last!

Adapter plugged into my power strip and plugged the lamp into the adapter the remotes work like a charm and I’m not left in the dark anymore when I’m alone. As a side note this can be used for anything that can plug into it there are some creative things you can rig with these. The only issue I have is that I wish the remote used AA batteries.

Works Great, Should Have Bought More And Will!!

It works great. Recommended to everyone who is handicapped and needs help turning on lights. Push a button on the remote control to turn the light on and/or off. It works. very happy. It worked but there was a Prop 65 warning on the packaging that it was made with toxic materials known to cause cancer and birth defects, and that you should “wash your hands after using it”!! (Probably made in China!) That went straight back! Then I ordered this product and I couldn’t be happier.

It comes packaged in a very nice manufacturers box and looks and feels like a very high quality item. The remote works with a 9V battery, included, which is really nice as 9V’s last forever. The battery is in the remote but is wrapped in plastic, so open the cover (slide the lower portion downward to reveal the battery) to unwrap and install it.

In addition to controlling the off/on by the remote, there are off/on switches on the AC adapter. I guess this could come in handy if the remote’s battery died and you didn’t have a spare on hand, or if the remote was misplaced temporarily.

The AC adapter does take up a lot of space but I have a power strip plugged into the wall, and the AC adapter plugged into the power strip, so that wasn’t an issue for me.

Now I can turn my fan off and on from my recliner and wouldn’t be happier. Also, I emailed it before my purchase with a question and they answered immediately and were very nice. I would buy from the company again in a second.

Now I can turn my fan off and on from my recliner. :)

The only real problem is that the range of the remote is a bit hit-&-miss… particularly with the battery supplied. By the way, the battery isnt your standard AA or AAA either, its an A23 which may or may not be difficult to find in your area. Also the plug-in bits just a -little- too wide to go in side-by-side on most power strips.

My room lamp is all the way on the other side of the room. This product helps especially when reading at night and tucked in bed. At this point, I really do not feel like moving or walking all the way over on the other side of the room to turn off the lamp. Wonderful – and I do not feel lazy

You take them out of the package, put the battery in the remote and connect one or both of the wall sockets. One independent button to turn each one on, and one separate button to turn each one off. Has helped me a lot with a raspberry pi that required to be disconnected and connected back to switch on. Served its purpose as it was expected. Haven’t prove the range but in the same room, it works like a charm.
